ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITIES 

Rebel Recruitment is partnering with leading Tier 1 civil contractors seeking experienced Structures Project Managers for strong pipelines of major infrastructure projects across the South Island. 

Opportunities are available across Christchurch, Picton and Invercargill, delivering technically challenging projects involving complex reinforced concrete structures, marine infrastructure, bridges, water treatment facilities and renewable or alternative energy infrastructure. 

We’re looking for Project Managers who understand heavy civil structures from the ground up — people who can develop the construction methodology, sequence complex works, manage temporary works and interfaces, and lead project teams through demanding delivery environments. 

You’ll take responsibility for the full project lifecycle, including construction planning, programme, commercial performance, procurement, subcontractors, engineering, quality, safety and client relationships. 

These are genuine major-project opportunities within a Tier 1 environment, backed by a strong forward workload and the ability to build a long-term career across some of the South Island’s most technically interesting infrastructure projects. 

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR: 

• Proven Project Management experience delivering complex reinforced concrete and heavy civil structures. 

• Strong project experience across areas such as marine works, bridges, water or wastewater treatment plants, renewable energy infrastructure, large concrete structures or similar technically complex projects. 

• Strong understanding of reinforced concrete construction, formwork, falsework, temporary works, lifting, staging, sequencing and constructability. 

• Sound engineering and commercial capability across programme, procurement, budgets, subcontractors, variations, risk and project controls. 

• A practical construction leader capable of building strong teams, solving complex delivery problems and taking ownership of project outcomes.
