About the Opportunity:
On an Independent Contract basis, you would be supporting one of our valued Client Partners with an exciting Auckland based project. Your key responsibilities would be:
Prepare subcontractor and material enquiries, reviewing and analysing quotations.
Develop detailed cost estimates for permanent works using an analytical approach.
Accurately estimate preliminary resources based on project schedules and engineering requirements.
Ensure labour and plant resource estimates align with tender programs.
Compile and submit commercial tenders to clients.
Review contract terms to ensure alignment with tender documents.
Present commercial handover documents to project teams. Collaborate with construction teams to gather output and resource data for future tenders.
Who we’re looking for:
Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
5–7+ years of experience in the civil construction industry.
Proven track record of estimating and securing large-scale projects.
Proficiency in estimation software.
Strong understanding of engineering methods, construction processes, and feasibility.
Ability to assess site conditions through inspections and survey data analysis.
Hands-on, practical problem solver with excellent communication skills.
Strong leadership abilities with experience mentoring team members.
